Lowell, Mass.  Both pitchers performed brilliantly.  Sanford pulled out a 2-0 victory

One of the most popular players to don the Danbury Westerners uniform returned for a visit on June 21. Jesse Cole threw out the first pitch left-handed because of recent surgery to his pitching arm. Jesse is currently a coach for Cotuit in the Cape Cod League and after the season is over will become the General Manager of the Gastonia Grizzlies in the Coastal Plain League.
The first day of summer saw Newport return to Danbury still holding the best record in the league at 9-1. This night the Westerners prevailed as Danbury righty Andrew Davis (Fordham) beat lefty Will Stroup (Alabama).

Newport's Gabriel Saade (Duke) is nailed at the plate trying to score from second on a Matt Ianetta (Georgetown) base hit. Right fielder Cory Underhill's (St. Gregory's) throw beat Saade and Weldon Woodall (Wake Forest) makes the tag.

The SteepleCats take time off at Jumptown USA in Orange MA. Twelve Cats made the skydive including Sean Parker and Jon Ban who made their second trip to the facility.
