Gabriel Saade (Duke) leads off first and is held by Team USA's Justin Smoak (South Carolina). Newport starter Adam Wilk was a freshman for Team USA Head Coach Mike Weathers at Long Beach State this past year. Wilk had now allowed a run in 11 innings and two starts prior to giving up runs in the first... Justin Smoak had four multi-RBI games the first week. This night he he had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBI in a 5-4 victory.
